OUR MISSION
The APPLD is the Parent’s association of the European School of Paris la Défense. The goal of the association is to represent the interests of the parents and pupils of the European School of Paris la Défense, foster a strong school community and keep parents informed and involved in the life of the school.
As with all European schools, the parents association has a particular role to play, as it is responsible for all extra-curricular activities related to the school, since September 2021.
The APPLD works closely with the Townhall of Courbevoie, the teachers and school administration, the Académie of Versailles, the after-school care and activity providers to ensure a safe, healthy and stimulating environment for our children.
MEMBERSHIP
Who can be a member?
All parents with at least one child in the European School can become a member of the APPLD (Active Member). In case of child not enrolled in the school, parents can become members of the APPLD (Invited Member) in order to have access to activities organized by APPLD as holidays program.
My child is enrolled in the European School of Paris La Défense : why should I become a member?
At least one parent per family needs to be a member of the APPLD in order to benefit from the canteen, after school care, specific activities and the holiday program. Becoming an Active Member also gives you opportunities to vote in the APPLD elections, contribute to discussions and decisions around the issues which are within the APPLDs mandate and fully participate in the life of the school.
How much does it cost?
The cost of membership is 15€ per parent, valid for the whole school year, or a prorata if you are joining later in the year (i.e. 10€ from January and 5€ from April). You can sign up to become a member of the APPLD here.

Official communications from the school are sent to all parents (regardless of membership to the APPLD).
The APPLD communicates with its members via email as well as via Classlist, so we strongly encourage you to download the app as soon as you are invited to join.
You can also exchange with other APPLD parents via Classlist.
Many classes also have their own Whatsapp group: contact your class representative to find out more.
